Native to Asia, the  camphor  is obtained by distillation of pieces of roots, stems or bark of the camphor tree, a very imposing tree that can reach 25m high.

It has a very strong and characteristic odor, and is found in particular in the composition of the famous Tiger Balm for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.
